Magenta Dahlias

She sparkles! You just gotta love a Magenta Dahlia flower painting that sparkles. This Magenta Dahlia flower painting just has so much to look with all the detail while still being a bit abstract. It is my expressive interpretation of a Pink Dahlia floral and a must in my latest series inspired by my trip to Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny, France.

As with the other paintings in this botanical series I used a natural linen canvas for the surface of the art piece for nostalgic feel in my alcohol ink painting . However, the technique in this painting is different from other paintings in this series as it is more interpretive and fun. I felt the Magenta blooms in this painting needed to sparkle so I added metallic Gold outline to the petals. The Pink and Green color palette go so well together that this painting is just the right amount of Pink pop to any small space on your wall.
