Dahlia Stars
The almost Black fade color at the bottom of the painting is reminiscent of painted backgrounds of still life art I have seen in “old master” paintings. In order to have the Star Dahlia flower stand out in all her brilliance I contrasted the flower in shades of bright Green.12″X12″ alcohol ink on linen canvas framed in contemporary wood frame with walnut stain finish.
