MONET’S AUTUMN GARDEN

In September 2022, I had the profound opportunity to visit Claude Monet’s home and garden in Giverny, France. As an admirer of Monet’s work, this visit sparked a deep well of inspiration, compelling me to create a body of work that reflects my personal experience of that day in Monet’s garden.

As an artist working in fluid mediums, I sought to imbue this series with a sense of nostalgia that distinguishes it from my previous artwork. To achieve this, I chose to paint on linen canvas, a surface that introduces a unique interaction with the alcohol ink. Unlike traditional paint, the ink is absorbed into the canvas, fostering a harmonious interrelationship that resonates with the organic flow of nature.

My goal for this collection is to evoke a profound connection to the natural world, guiding viewers to a sense of wonderment through my art. Each piece is a tribute to the beauty and tranquility of Monet’s garden, translated through the fluid and evocative qualities of my chosen medium.
